Billing app or shop manager: what is the difference?
A billing app records what happened: bills, payments, stock in and out, and the accounts. Vyapar, myBillBook, Zoho Books and TallyPrime are examples. A shop manager reads those records and tells you what to do next: what to reorder, who to win back, what to fix. One Tap Manager is a shop manager built to sit next to your billing app, not to replace it.
Which one do I need?
- Only bills and accounts: a billing app is enough.
- You bill at a counter and want to grow: keep your billing app, export its sales once a week and upload them to One Tap Manager.
- You sell only online: One Tap Manager issues GST invoices for orders on your own website and prepares the GSTR-1 file, so you may not need a separate billing app. Ask your accountant.
What a shop manager adds
- Which products and kinds of product carry the shop.
- Who has stopped buying, with the message to bring them back.
- When to reorder, with the purchase order written.
- Which complaint is costing you most.
- A week of Instagram posts from your own photos.
What it does not do
No ledgers, no bank reconciliation, no payroll, no filing of returns. Those stay with your billing app and your accountant.
Common questions
Is One Tap Manager a Vyapar or myBillBook alternative?
Not really. Those are billing and accounting apps. One Tap Manager reads the sales they record and tells you what to do next. Many sellers will use both.
Can I upload sales from my billing app?
Yes. Export sales as CSV or Excel and upload them; the app works out which column is which.
