Low stock alerts and purchase orders, before a best seller runs out

Last updated

One Tap Manager works out how fast each item sells and how long each supplier takes to deliver, warns you before stock runs out, and drafts the purchase order for that supplier. You check it and approve it, and it is emailed to the supplier with the order attached as a PDF. Stock reordering and purchase orders are on the Max plan at ₹999 a month (free on every account during the launch period).

How does it decide when to reorder?

For every item it divides the stock you have by what you sell on an average day. That is how many days the stock will last. When that falls below your supplier's delivery time plus a 20% safety margin, it is time to order.

Worked example, not a customer: an item that sells 4 a day, from a supplier who takes 10 days, is flagged when fewer than 48 are left (4 × 10 × 1.2).

How much does it order?

At first, the supplier's minimum order. Once you enter what placing an order costs you and what holding stock costs you, and there is a month of sales, it works out the order size that keeps those two costs lowest together. You can always type your own quantity, and yours wins.

What happens to the purchase order?

Stock by size and colour

A product can carry up to two options, usually size and colour, and every combination is its own record with its own stock count, SKU and, if you want, its own price. One shirt in four sizes and three colours is twelve things to count, and the app counts all twelve. An order on your One Tap website takes the right one out of stock on its own.
